Mahapurusha Shri Achyutananda Das Temple (Gadi) is situated at Nemala, 42 km from Cuttack. It is located on an island between the rivers Luna and Chitrotpala. This is the Sadhana and Samadhi Pitha of the great saint Achyutananda, called Malika Purana. The Samadhi Pitha of Achyutananda is called Sunya Samadhi, and it is a very sacred place.
A fair is held here annually on Jyeshta Purnima and Magha Sukla Ekadasi. Achyutananda Das was not only a saint-poet but also a critic of contemporary society. Using his imaginativeness and foresight he predicted what the future would turn out to be. He wrote a prophetic poem called Malikas, which reflected an extraordinary vision of the future. Shri Achyutananda Das Gadi Pitha is a famous temple in Cuttack district.
